ISLAND HOTEL CELEBRATES SUMMER WITH NEW SUNDAY NIGHT BBQ
Delicious Family-Style Barbecue on Palm Terrace Patio and Swim Time for Families

 
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (June 17, 2009) – What better way to end a summer weekend than to gather for a pool party at Island Hotel? This summer, leave all the work to these Newport Beach leisure experts, and spend Sundays enjoying delectable barbecue fare, swimming with the family and relaxing poolside at Palm Terrace.

Island Hotel’s Sunday Night BBQ
There is something for everyone on Executive Chef Bill Bracken’s Sunday Night BBQ menu, which will be ever-changing to showcase the summer’s bounty. Start with offerings from the cold buffet, such as Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata with Fresh Basil and Arugula, or Charred Summer Corn with Spiced Swordfish and Lemon-Cilantro Vinaigrette. Served tableside, selections from the grill may include: Grilled California Lamb Chops with Salsa Verde, Garlic-Herb Grilled Chicken Thighs, and Prime Beef Sliders with Cheddar and Onions; all with seasonal sides served family-style. A decadent dessert buffet will feature sweet summertime favorites from Pastry Chef Michael Owens, such as Strawberry Shortcake and Old-Fashioned Homemade Ice Cream.

Sundays – June 28 through September 6, 2009
BBQ served from 5 to 8 p.m.
Families swim from 3 to 9 p.m.

$34 per adult
$12 per child age 12 & under (complimentary for children under 5)
