Now More Than Ever, Costa Mesa is the OC's Vacation Destination

Hotels sweeten travel deal with up to $50 travel incentives and $25 per night dining certificates now through September 30, 2008

COSTA MESA, Calif. (July 21, 2008)
– One of Orange County, California’s best travel deals just got better.  In response to rising fuel prices, Costa Mesa now offers one the greatest values for travelers seeking a fun-filled vacation this summer that includes shopping, dining, surfing, boating, golf, Disneyland, and much more.

The “2008 Fly/Drive & Dine” promotion now provides up to $50 in travel reimbursements, plus dining $25 per night incentives and competitive hotel rates.  The promotion runs through September 30, 2008, based upon room availability.  Rates start at $99 per night.  Some restrictions apply.

Here’s how it works. When guests book a stay in one of 10 participating Costa Mesa hotels during the promotional period, they will receive a $25 per night dining certificate per reservation for each night they stay that is redeemable at many fine Costa Mesa area restaurants.

Additionally, when they stay just one night, a $25 reimbursement on airfare or purchase of gasoline will be mailed to them within a few weeks of their stay in Costa Mesa. When three or more nights are booked, the travel cost reimbursement doubles to $50. The gasoline or airfare reimbursement is also limited to one per hotel reservation.

“Stop sweltering and pack up your swimsuits, surfboards, golf clubs and walking shoes and head on over to the coast – Costa Mesa, that is – to enjoy an action-packed vacation or a relaxing getaway,” said Tom Smalley, president of the Costa Mesa Conference & Visitor Bureau and general manager of Wyndham Orange County.

Located in Orange County between Los Angeles and San Diego, Costa Mesa is known for its world-class shopping at South Coast Plaza, The Ultimate Shopping Experience. Near Costa Mesa are miles of beaches, plus theme parks, sports venues, museums, day spas and many other attractions.
