Description Join nearly one million viewers as you watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbor in the 98th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. The parade will take place Wednesday, December 13 through Sunday, December 17, beginning at Collins Island each evening at 6:30 p.m. The Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce invites you to sail to the theme of "Holiday Magic Through the Eyes of a Child." The parade will feature two different routes: the regular route will be followed Wednesday and Thursday, lasting approximately 2 hours; and the extended route will be followed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, lasting approximately 2 1/2 hours. In addition to the boat parade, The Commodores Club also hosts the Ring of Lights decorating competition. All homes, businesses, and yacht clubs lining the harbor are invited to participate.
