In the early sixties, Robert August was among the best young surfers in the world. In a case of being at the right place at the right time - and having the right skills, August would be thrust into fame with one of the most iconic surf films of all time - the 1966 documentary surf classic "The Endless Summer," known to surfers of all ages all around the world. Along with Mike Hynson and moviemaker Bruce Brown, August followed sun and surf around the globe looking for the perfect wave. The idea was that if one had the means, it would be possible to follow summer around the world, making it endless. August owns a surf shop and line of surfing clothing and various accessories in Orange County, the capital of the surf industry. August discusses the evolution of surfboards, surfing and the adventure of surf travel. (Run Time: 7:20)
