Friday
Kick off your weekend with Anaheim’s home teams! Catch a MLB Angels game or see the Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks take flight on the ice.
Grab a pre-game beer or quick bite at J.T. Schmid’s Brewery (across the street from the Honda Center) or El Torito Grill and The Catch, both within walking distance of Angel Stadium.
After the game, head to Downtown Fullerton – charming district by day and lively barhopping locale by night. You’ll find all the fun along Harbor Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue.

Saturday
Enjoy OC’s natural side in the morning. Tour the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, a 300-acre sanctuary and one of California’s most significant coastal wetlands.
Or, go on a kayak tour through the waters of the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve, where up to 35,000 birds may be seen at one time during November (weekend tours are from 10-12 am).
If you simply must see fall foliage, head to one of OC’s regional or wilderness parks. The native California sycamore trees change to various shades of yellow at Caspers Wilderness Park, O’Neill Regional Park (R.P.), and Santiago Oaks R.P. During late fall if the temperatures cool, the liquid ambers’ leaves turn gold, yellow and red, at Craig R.P., Irvine R.P. and Mile Square R.P.
Grab lunch at one of the area’s prime outdoor dining spots.
Then take the scenic drive down Pacific Coast Highway. Stop along the way at boutiques, coffee shops or parks with coastal view pathways.
Order a sunset cocktail overlooking the ocean at one of the beautiful coastal resorts, such as the Montage Resort & Spa, Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel or the St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach.
Stay for dinner or make your way to the Irvine Spectrum Center for a variety of dining options, from decadent cheesecake and traditional American fare to authentic Mexican or exotic cuisine. After dinner, play billiards at Dave & Buster’s, check out the big screens at Fox Sports Grill, or laugh it off at a comedy show.
Still going? Check out one of OC’s hottest nightclubs: Club Vegas, Sutra Lounge, or Tentation Ultra Lounge. And if you’re looking for something more low-key, chill out in Costa Mesa at Chat Noir’s Jazz Lounge, The Clubhouse, The LAB’s Gypsy Den or The CAMP’s AIRe.
